Sexual Health


I know that some of you will want to know if there are actually any sexual health clinics in Tenerife, and the answer is yes. There is a sexual health clinic in Santa Cruz and if you look on Google then you can get exact directions to show you where it is. There is also a ‘Planned Parenthood’ clinic for anyone that is expecting children or any other reasons.
If you want to know where to get condoms, the morning after pill or any other protection to avoid pregnancy or STD’s then going to a chemist is the best idea. A few chemists in Los Cristianos are able to speak English but most other chemists around the island can also speak English.

If you need to speak to a doctor for any reason then it is free to go and see a Spanish doctor but if you feel more comfortable speaking to an English doctor then you will have to pay roughly €30 because an English doctor is private. In Los Cristianos there is an English speaking doctor near to the Cristian Sur complex.
The age of consent in Tenerife is the same as it is in Britain (16 years).
